Whether you ship products across the country or hand a bag across the counter, the moment a customer opens their order is a moment worth sharing. Unboxing content feels personal, satisfying, and real, which is exactly what people want to see online. It also gives new customers a preview of what it is like to buy from you. Here is how to turn your packaging and order process into content that builds excitement and sales.

1. Make Your Packaging Worth Filming

You do not need expensive boxes. A handwritten thank you note, tissue paper in your brand color, a sticker, or a small free sample can turn an ordinary order into a moment people want to film. Pick one or two details that feel like you and use them every time. Consistency makes your packaging recognizable.

2. Film Your Own Packing Process

Customers love seeing how an order comes together. Record a short clip of you wrapping an item, tying a ribbon, or sealing a box, and add a few seconds of calm music. Close-up shots and good natural light make simple tasks look satisfying. These videos work well as Reels and Stories and take only a few minutes to shoot.

3. Invite Customers to Share Their Own Unboxing

Add a small card inside every order that asks customers to tag your business and use a short branded hashtag. Tell them you will feature favorites on your page. Customer videos carry more trust than anything you could post yourself, and each one introduces your business to that customer's friends and neighbors.

4. Show the Details, Not Just the Product

Think about the small moments that make an unboxing feel special: the first look inside, the sound of tape peeling, the note on top, the product being lifted out. Capture those close-ups in order. A simple three part structure of box, reveal, and finished product keeps viewers watching to the end.

5. Repost and Credit Your Customers

When a customer shares an unboxing, ask permission, repost it, and give them credit. Save the best ones to a Highlight called Happy Customers so new visitors see proof right away. Always reply with a genuine thank you. Being recognized makes customers far more likely to share again.

Great packaging and a little bit of video can turn every order into free marketing for your business.
